I am a freelance web developer, data visualization artist, and activist. I am a senior Creative Computing major at Southern Methodist University, anticipating graduation this August. Programming through the creative lense has shaped my aspirations towards pursuing a career in web development, in which I can implement my skills in data visualization and web design.

My interest in web development began when I was working for Collin Street Bakery, where my leadership skills as their youngest store manager caught their attention and earned me an invitation to two of their home office marketing workshops. Thereafter, I began assisting their CMO with their social media accounts. This is when I decided to pursue a creative computing degree.

Through my creative computing classes at SMU, I have become proficient in programming in Java, CSS, HTML, and Pure Data. I’ve also familiarized myself with Maya, Unity, Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator, as well as the video editing softwares Avid and Final Cut Pro X. I have learned how to incorporate SEO on my website in blog posts I’ve published. While working full time through college, I have learned how to efficiently manage my time and work quickly through programming projects.

I have worked in group settings in my creative computing class to take large data sets and turn them into user-friendly, interactive programs that enhance the way data is viewed.
